MEMBERSHIP: The Elburn Chamber Networking Group ( ECNG ) is open to anyone who is a member in good standing of the Elburn Chamber of Commerce.

PURPOSE: The Purpose of ECNG is to provide an industry exclusive, forum and structure for members to meet bi-weekly to promote their business and network with other members of the group.

ATTENDANCE: Members are expected to attend meetings regularly. For networking to be effective it is necessary to have periodic and regular contact with other members of the group. A member may have an associate or other person from the same or unrelated business fill in for him or her as a guest. The guest is intended to be your representative for that meeting and, as such, will be responsible for providing a 60-second commercial on the member's business. The guest may also introduce his or her own business. Guest representation will be limited to 3 times during a six-month session.

SESSION: A session will consist of a six-month period, from October 1 through March 31 and from April 1 through September 30.

DUES: Dues will be $120 for a six month period and are due April and October of each year by no later than the April 30 or October 31 of the respective session. Failure to pay dues by the stipulated time will disqualify a member from participating in meetings during that session unless a prior arrangement has been made with the Treasurer. Dues will cover the cost of breakfast. Tips will be up to the discretion of each member. Dues will not be refunded after a member has attended one meeting. Dues will be prorated at the time of application. A partial month remaining will count as a full month for determining proration.

MEETINGS: Each meeting is anticipated to last approximately 1 hour, beginning at 8:00 am or other agreed upon time. Meetings are held currently on every other Friday. Each meeting will provide an opportunity for the sharing of business and industry updates, an introduction of your particular business, a referral exchange and a presentation of up to 20 minutes by one member designated to be the presenter for that meeting.

VISITORS: Members are encouraged to invite guests to attend our meetings. A visitor may attend two meetings before joining. Guest representatives (filling in for a current member) are not required to join and, consequently, are not subject to this two meeting limitation.

REFERRALS: Members are expected to provide quality business referrals at each meeting. An invited visitor who attends (other than a guest representative) will be considered a referral. Failure to provide at least one referral will result in $1 fine. This fine will also be imposed for missed meetings, but may be made up by providing one referral for each meeting missed, plus one for the current meeting.

GROUP LEADERSHIP: The leadership of the ECNG will consist of a Group Leader, responsible for attendance, presentations, and conducting the meetings; a Co-leader , responsible for membership, tracking referrals, and conducting meetings in the absence of the Group Leader; and a Treasurer , responsible for dues collection, payment of ECNG expenses, and accounting.
